            You're not giving good advice.
            The advice you should be giving him / her isn't necessarily how much words are present in the story but rather how it is written.
            
            The story isn't written in paragraphs hence already making readers click off as it isn't organised and is instead messy. Chapters can be less than 1000 words, it doesn't matter - what matters is the quality of what is in the wordings of the chapter.
