Hi guys 
          
          Now that the contest is officially over, I'd like to share that SOME of those who didn't make it to Round 3 were actually DISQUALIFIED for use of AI. 
          
          
          While reading I was disgusted to see an AI story, despite the rules stating that zero use of AI in writing will be accepted. 
          
          There was also an entire poetry book written by AI which the participant probably assumed would be hilarious to enter. 
          
          How do I know it's AI? 
          
          The details were obvious. I am an English professor, and it's easy to see the difference between AI generated contest and actual hard work. 
          
          Books which made use of AI editing tools were accepted. Because the human element was still obvious. 
          
          If English isn't your first language you shouldn't use AI to generate English based content. That's just my advice as a professor.

@goldheart_writes I don't think most of the WP community is corrupt. It just seems that way because the corrupt people are so *loud*. ;)

@goldheart_writes Oh, no need to name names. That often blows up into harassment for the person calling the AI out (in my experience, at least). And if they're infamous for using AI in judging, I probably already know who they are. Especially given the poetry angle. ;)

@katiegoesmew ;) I know what you mean. Even my friend and I have issues when we call people out on BS. Why are most of the WP community so corrupt? Lol
