As we near the end of July, and subsequently enter the dog days of summer, I would like to reflect. This summer did NOT go as planned for me. In the months leading up to it, I pictured something so glorified and serendipitous; I would embrace myself, spend lots of time growing emotionally and physically, eat healthy, recover from the events of the wintertime, and write. Write. Hah. I love writing. I feel that no matter who is reading my work, it is plain that I am passionate about storytelling. I love the feeling of sitting at my computer and belting out whatever comes to mind. I love picturing it, just like a movie, in my head. The process is grueling, and involves a lot of setting aside doubts and insecurities, but I love it. I burn for it. But I was not anticipating such burnout come May. So you can imagine how it looks now, with me popping up after being radio silent for mostly the entire summer. Especially when I was building up such anticipation for Chosen Boy. So things didn't go as planned. Obviously. In fact, a lot of things didn't go as planned. As aforementioned, I desired to grow emotionally. I daresay I did, but unfortunately was struck by one blow after another with physical health. The latest side effects, with full transparency, are heart problems. Heart problems! And here I was, smashing HIIT workouts without a second thought. You can imagine I am a bit shaken by this, despite not knowing if it's serious or not yet. But this latest bout of issues has reignited what I lost when I burnt out. I want to write. And I love Harry Potter. And so I'll write about Harry Potter. All of this rambling aside, I wanted to share with you guys that this winter, I will write my fingers off. Starting with finishing up The Potions Master (be expecting updates weekly again!), then picking up Chosen Boy again in late September, and then, hopefully, a new AU that I conjured up late one night last month! I love you all so much. Thank you for sticking around.

Hey Taylor! I’m sorry to hear about your health. I’m wishing you all the best. I’m looking forward to reading the potions master, I’ll have to re-read it all to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything!
