GUESS WHO GOT A JOB
Okay so new day hoping we’re better today. No real pain yet besides stiffness in my fingers but that might be partially from the braces I wear to sleep. I brought braces in my backpack just in case but I am feeling pretty good and I took Advil as a precaution.
Alright so what’s working currently:
Ace bandage wraps on my knees
I have one wrist brace that word for either hand so I swap which wrist has the brace and which has an ace bandage wrap
Ring splints for fingers
Advil
Hot shower for back and hips
Light stretching
I keep hearing random popping which is not fun
About to put a heat pad on my knee
Went home early from school cuz of my joint pain and fatigue :/
What’s rlly bad is my wrists and fingers and shoulder and hips
My knees are better after wrapping with ace bandages and my right wrist is in a brace while the left is bandaged.
My joints really hurt… any tips to help? Really bad ones are my wrists and fingers, but pretty much everything hurts.
I’m at risk for hEDS so if anyone has tips based on that, I’d love you to help me out.
@goofyahhstay the "passive" option is to wear braces during sleep bc you may be in certain positions that aren't good. You could use a scalp silicone scrub instead of your fingertips and re-learn or learn how to correctly hold things and write
@2BLLeo please just give all the tips thank you so much. I’m imagining this is just a short term flare up and I’m hoping it is
@goofyahhstay for me (hEDS) I put an ice pack or a hand warmer on my joints or muscles as they can cause joint pain. Naps also help a lot with ibuprofen if it's too painful or if I have a headache (often with joint pain). Long term, I go to the gym to lift weights, not a lot, just to have a good shape doing the exercises so that my joints learn to use the correct muscles. If you want tips don't hesitate to ask me :) hope you'll feel better soon
