i completely understand that this can do good, but at the same time it can also harm people. theres been other "expose books" that have built off of nothing and caused 2 people i knew on this platform to not just quit the platform, but also their lives.
the amount of hate they recieved for a message made to look like it had come from them when it hadnt had given them threats of violence, which scared them that badly. i can agree that expose books can do good, but when you label them as "gossip" and for "tea" it just doesn't really make matters any better, and can escalate due to the unseriousness of the account/book and make them feel like a joke.
other times, when a completely guilty person gets exposed, they double down and just become horrible to everyone who has even hinted at being suspicious or against them, as seen multiple times.
i can understand the side of stopping wattpad drama, but at the same time, if someone posts about a book that isnt about a credible story it impacts a lot of people in a wrong way.
while it does help, it also doesnt. if people could understand that some topics just arent that serious to be making book after book about, then its okay. people just need to draw a line.
