i know ive been inactive on this acc mostly but idk i may or may not have an hp fic brewing...
so I went through the tortured poets department anthology and thought it was okay. the lyrics were a bit underwhelming for a poetry-themed album especially considering ts's lyricist talent, and a lot of the melodies sounded basically the same to me, especially in the back half/deluxe portion :/ I liked about half of them enough to shrug and add them to my taylor swift playlist. what are everyone else's thoughts on it?
anyway I'm gonna go listen to måneskin now lol
@gothambbygirl yeah i get that it’s not my favorite by far, maybe like number 5 or 6 but the lyrics have been slaying lately.
@thyme_time i do think i enjoyed it more than midnights. for whatever reason i've struggled to really connect with an album since reputation, but i also didn't think it was bad necessarily. kind of neutral for me ig.
@gothambbygirl i actually like it a lot, especially after being fairly underwhelmed with midnights. it’s not my favorite, but there are definitely some really solid songs on there. i like the more ballad-y feel and felt like the lyrics actually shone more in the second half.
