after a major writer's block, I am trying to overcome these obstacles of me comparing myself to other's stories. everyone is different, everyone undergoes certain experiences that makes them write the way they do, describe the things they see, and create what they desire.

being a writer does not mean being perfect at it. The definition of a writer is you, regardless of your experience and regardless of the content you create. You have a purpose here. 

its just for fun, not to try and be perfect at it.

to write is to prosper and to flourish. 

Do not give up, even if you think you hit rock bottom.
