Is Osaka Tokonosu City?
I could be very wrong but I think I figured out what city in Japan; inspired: Tokonosu City.
I started to think about it after watching the show again, and so I started looking through different cities in Japan that might’ve been inspired to create Tokonosu.
I first checked with cities that had a population of 1 million and then I checked the cities in between Tokyo and Kyoto.
At first I thought it might’ve been Sendou City, Tohoku City and even Takayama City.
But then I remembered about the airport on the ocean that was revealed in episode 5. There is only one city that had an airport on the ocean. It’s Osaka Bay.
So I checked the available photos of Osaka; and a few locations instantly popped up: the bridge Takashi and Rei drove on when the fighter jet flew past them taking their picture. And there is a castle that is on a hill called; Osaka Castle.
The last thing I checked was if there was a school located on a hill; and yes there is a private school called: Kenmei Academy, that is on a hill.
The school has a large campus for the students from kindergarten to high schoolers. So what if Fujimi Academy wasn’t just a regular private high school; but a private school for students from kindergarten to high school?
If that was true it probably would’ve been called: School of the Dead/Academy Apocalypse.
