Plot twist: The side of good always has room for one
more simply because there's a certain power limit.
Nobody who joins the group can be stronger than
the main character except for their first appearance
and gradually get weaker to fit the limit. Once the
main character gets {Insert BS power up} then the
others can evolve as well...
