I've always loved to read. But the words would not let me alone, and now I find myself compelled to write them too.
Wide and varied taste in reading, ScFi, Fantasy, Gothic, Horror, Vampyres, Contemporary, and Classics: anything written well. Particularly like Urban Sci-Fi / Magic and Steampunk, and all things Anime.
Love to explore characters in extremis and the bonds and motivations that make us reach for the sky, fly, and escape the bonds that would otherwise keep our feet firmly on the ground.
The stars are there, why not reach for them, even if only in our imagination :)
Favourite pastime, good coffee, not too quiet cafe, and of course a good read.
Passionate About - Good writing, Film, mainstream and indie, I've a soft spot for good quality anime and manga.
Things I love - Honesty, truth, consideration compassion and understanding, perspective.
Things I hate - Intolerance, bigotry, impatience and ignorance.
Favourite Quotes: -
Haruki Murakami - "It's easy to talk big, but the important thing is whether or not you clean up the shit."
Russell Hoban: - "And those of us who think about the empty spaces tend to paint pictures, write books, or compose music. There are many talented people who never will become painters, writers, or composers; the talent is in them but not the empty spaces where art happens."
