Guys, girls and unlabelled followers! I have not died! I'm very much alive - I've been attempting to focus on myself more so I took a break. I have indeed still been writing, however updates for the books will be long-coming. In my attempts to focus on myself - which is harder than it sounds when all I've done for the past four years of my life was focus on fake friends - I lost my love for writing, more so towards the beginning.  I have got it back, fortunately! I've been writing more short stories (published on my Tumblr and AO3) but I find it hard to post shorts on here, as they're not very welcomed and not many people I know would read a shorts/one-shot book. 
          
          My google docs is filled with unfinished (or ideas) for mini fcs, and I have really been enjoying writing them! If you want to see them, I suggest going to my ao3 (@CaitlinnAnn) but if you're a simple, Wattpad user, I will be posting updates for the books soon (unsure about the Jolex story currently...) but be on the lookout! 
          
          Just wanted to let you in on a small update : I have had a Hotchniss fic idea for a fairly long time. It's been done in other renditions, but so far I've never found one like this plotline and I'm very much excited to share it soon. It will be on all platforms (Tumblr, Wattpad and AO3) shortly. I know my commitment for books is awful, but mental health problems overpower a fanfic - never forget that <3

hey, thought I'd let people know I have my AO3 account (finally!) and I've not been very active on here because of it. I promise you I am still publishing new chapters, and new chapters will be out soon but my AO3 will have a story on there soon that isn't here yet so if you want that, it's going to be there real soon! chapters 16 and 17 have been posted at the same time because it's between a case and i needed to lol anyways is it just my wattpad thats crashed all of today? 

a week ago I hit 500 reads on shattered and today, after being offline for personal reasons for a few days, I came back to see 800+ and I just really wanna say thank you! It means the world that people are actually reading the book <3

(hi pls read) i have issues and im gonna make it everyones problem now bc im in that sorta mood. ao3 writers seem like assholes and i kinda dont wanna move over there. theyre such gatekeepers its beyond rude and prejudice.
          
          now my bigger issue : my book.
          shattered is something I'm super proud of and love tremendously but theres people i follow on tiktok saying their "pet peeves" about books and i wanna see if my followers have the same so i'll put them in a list and you can say if you do or dont, depending if you even read this lol.
          
          1. characters getting together in early chapters
          2. pregnancy/ pregnancy scares
          3. marriage/proposals
          4. fics where y/n is a cry baby or is written poorly (i don't have any books within a character x reader but i just wanna know)
          5. kids (this one made me self conscious lol)
          6. author notes (i dont put these often because it ruins the flow and would rather write a comment about something)
          7. when writers dont have scheduled updates
          8. cursing/swearing
          9. bad events happening.
          
          please just let me know about any of these things. i wanna make my writing as good as possible for the readers but this feels like beyond impossible...

im gonna post the next two chapters of shattered at the same time, because the plot of chapter 17 is based on the case from the episode 3 from season 4 (minimal loss) but it’s adapted to fit the current timeline. i really wanted to add some of the cases from the series, and i think this is the only one i would do from before season 7 (when the book is set) because i wouldn’t want it to be confusing but this episode to me is one that really shows hotchniss aswell as the difference between objectivity and humanity, another theme within the book. just be prepared for two fairly long chapters when i post them later :)
