I need to pass the time in my book and I literally have no clue how to do it... guess I'm gonna be stuck with writers block until I figure this out.

If anyone reads this, I need some good names for a male love interest of a contemporary romance book thats not too basic but not too American as its set in the UK...

How many words do you guys write in your stories? Just a random question

greysloanswiftie

@OaklynnWinter oh cool! How many words have you written per chapter? :)

@wildesttiptoes The book I'm getting ready to post is just over 85,000!

What do you guys prefer - slow burn or love at first sight?

RowansProjects

@JustAHamiltonNerd slow burn, in all my personal experiences, at first sight has never worked out. My current boyfriend and I have known each other since we were in high school, and just barely started dating. It's working better than anything else currently.

HELP! What is the government called when it is controlled by one person (like a general or queen etc) but everybody else gets a say? Not quite a democracy or monarchy, its not specific enough.

greysloanswiftie

@alycecaswell Yeah lol. The problem is though that the "head of state" is a general, and I guess it's more of an army layout but idk what to call that

@JustAHamiltonNerd Ah just noticed you're from the UK. xD A head of state is more ceremonial than anything else.

@JustAHamiltonNerd I'd just say it's a democracy. I'm in Australia and the British queen is our head of state, but we have democratic government - as does the UK.

Hey guys! I'm back!! So I got my English coursework back last week, and I cannot believe I spelled Blu Tack wrong. I ended up with a A- (which is amazing for me, as I normally get Cs in my essays). So I've been feeling creative recently.

I kinda want to write a romance, but I'm wondering if any of you will read it. Please comment below if you would because knowing that you would take an interest in my work os what gives me motivation.

7meets8

@JustAHamiltonNerd I definitely would binge read it *I say whilst actively procrastinating on my project finals*

Guess who has massive writer's block because they think they aren't good enough?

          This girl ☝☝

@JustAHamiltonNerd negative opinions shouldn't slow you don't, hun. They're part of the writing journey. People will always have opinions even later on when you're established. Look at Stephanie Meyers. Her writing is still being criticized despite selling millions of Twilight copies

@procrastinatalie I wish I never listened to those guys at school who kept telling me that my writing was awful...
