I'm seriously debating deleting the story and restarting because the editing is taking so long. What do you guys think?

          	  As for the deletion of stories, you should never delete it, ever. You should keep it, just in case you lose interest in something else you start. You're going to regret it. 
          	  
          	  AND. you are throwing all the votes and comments down the drain. You're supposed to see your first book as an accomplishment. Keep it. Remember it.
