@ChristyJames121410 I also don't use OCs too much because I like to give readers characters they know and love - don't get me wrong, OCs can be amazing - but personally I prefer sticking to the main characters. That being said, I have a few - Sarah, Uncle Pedro, Anastasia, Imogen, Finn, Cameron, Dani... Ok I have a lot.

@ChristyJames121410 yeah so to make a character more 3D you give them three things: pride, doubts and a past. The best characters are never the perfect ones, they're the ones that genuinely make the reader sad or happy. Another thing I try do is also think from the reader's perspective. If I were reading this, what narrative arc would I like to see yaknw?
