I really believed Rick told you himself (didn’t catch the joke part), as I have author friends myself and when I ask them questions about their characters, they usually answer back with truths.

@gilledcheese most of the blood from periods isn't actually blood. Only 36% is actual blood and the rest being other stuff such as tissue. You have a lot of blood in you in the most you'll loose is around a pint maybe, and that's in a course of a week. Though sense your flow is heavy it might help for you to go see a gynecologist. They can tell you if it's harmful or it's just normal for your body.
