hi all!!
i just wanted to clarify a few things regarding my book The Past.
as someone who has enjoyed fan fiction for over 6 years, i am very familiar with the etiquette that goes with reading them.
as a writer and reader of smut, i personally would never tell an author whether their smut ‘turns me on’ or what i do while reading smut, especially when i don’t even know the author in the first place.
if it does make you ‘feel things’ i guess that is an indirect compliment to my writing, but please don’t tell me that my work makes you ‘horny’ because that makes me uncomfortable.
another thing i want to talk about is how some people are sexualising Cassidy. she’s a three year old toddler and in my eyes there is nothing sexual about her relationship with erich or any other character in my book.
DO NOT sexualise her, especially when Adele is a literal victim of child sexual abuse. as someone who relates to Adele in that way, i do no want to see people thinking that Erich gets off on the fact that Cassidy calls him Dadda or Daddy. it’s disgusting and it makes me uncomfortable.
i hate to sound like i’m moaning but it needs to be said because i hate that people are doing those things.
if it doesn’t stop then i may have to contemplate giving up writing all together and i don’t want to do that at all.
