Hey hahastrawberryhaha, decided to direct message you since I didnt want to blow up the author's comment section with most of our discussions so I will write it out here. As I did point out, it is really short their time being since Kaede got executed in the first chapter, I do agree with that. Now if I do say so myself, Shuichi amazes me. A shy guy like himself can get involved in some misunderstandings. One of them being Kaede's panties for one. As much as I got a laugh outta it, Kaede didnt exclaim at Shuichi to quit looking or tell him to back off. She just went along and said, "he cant unsee them at that point". It was pretty amusing she didnt have any harsh reaction towards him and was pretty tame about it (like she was okay with it) . Other than that, Shuichi in the first trial didn't "defend" Kaede thoroughly cause all chips were leading to her. He tried to cover it up not wanting to face the truth so Kaede wouldnt fall victim to it. But there was no helping that a culprit was going to be chosen and it was to be her eventually. Even though Shuichi had to reveal her (as Kaede was leading him to do), he did try to save her even if it was too late. A couple moments include: when he was totally silent. He didn't want to announce anything close that Kaede may be the culprit because as a person he trusted deeply, he didnt want to lose her. Second, when it's already concluded that Kaede is the culprit, Shuichi and the others are willing to defend Kaede even if it means taking their lives. And when Kaede's punishment was beginning to unravel, Shuichi desperately tried reaching to save Kaede before she met her demise.

No you dont have to make an apology since I'm not asking for one. However, I do love the couple and is one of my few favorites from the series. And I wanted to point out my defense on why I dont see Saihara and Akamatsu as a forced ship. You're not entitled to read and agree with what I say, but you also have the right to not belittle it as people like Saimatsu for what it is. It's in my interest and I like to talk and discuss about it, that's all.
