/ She keeps her helmet on whenever she’s out in public, aware that being both a Khajiit and a vampire is considered taboo where she lives. Only once she grows close to someone—and truly feels safe—will she remove it.

“Fine armor you have there. How did you manage to get your paws on something like that, I wonder?”

“ Aye , I’ve put down a few thieves these past months , ” she said with a faint scoff. “ They showed themselves to be ungrateful — and undeserving of mercy. ”

She paused , then inclined her head slightly. “ Forgive me. I’m K’Dari. And you are ? ”

“ I forged it myself , after endless hours at the anvil and many lessons learned. It weren’t an easy task , but I got it done. Lately , though , it seems to mark me for thieves — fools , the lot of them. I almost feel pity for their arrogance. ”

The woman couldn’t help but wonder why he seemed so unconcerned about being away from home — most people usually longed for the familiar. She herself missed the warmth of her birthplace , though she had spent so much of her life here that her memories of sun-baked sands had grown faint.

“ Well , you’re in Skyrim , ” she said softly , folding her hands in front of her. “ Snow falls most days , and the farther north you travel , the colder it grows. It’s rare for it to feel warm — at least , to me. ” A light chuckle escaped her lips. “ Still , it’s a fair land. Plenty to see and do , and the taverns are warm and welcoming , if I say so myself. Aside from the dangers that roam these parts , I reckon you’ll have a grand time. ”

Alaric hums, a melody that speaks more than words; content at her answer, and lack of violence towards them. A faint smile crosses their face, as their ears perk up at her question.

“No, I fear I am far from home. I do not care though, the further I am, the better.” It’s purposely vague, trust had yet to be gained, and Alaric would rather keep some of their secrets close to them as possible. “Though, I am hoping you could tell me where I am. I’ve been travelling for quite a while and don’t quite recognize where I am.”

It wasn’t unusual for others to assume she had ties to the daedra — mostly because of the armor she wore. Its demonic design and origins in the planes of oblivion made such conclusions easy , even though she meant no harm and had no connection to them at all.

“ No need to apologize , ” she said with a small nod. “ Well met , Alaric. You may call me K’Dari. It’s always good to meet a new face — tell me , are you of this region ? ”

Traveling far from home Harken held onto the reins of his bloodchaser dragon. This land was different to what he was used to. However he was pulled from his thoughts as a huge dragon startled his. This other dragon was very aggressive as harken had his dragon dive down to avoid the other. Landing in a thick woods, he checked his dragon to see how injured it was. He then looked around at his surroundings.

He smiled slightly "very good I must get to my steed just back a little ways then I will head over, if you wish I could let you ride with me." He offered. He already began walking back towards his bloodchaser.

“ Ah , so you’re looking for opportunities here in Skyrim — there’s no shortage of them , ” she said with a nod , sliding the sword from her hand and resting it across her back , leaving herself unarmed.

“ There’s a hold not far from here. Markarth , to be exact — that’s where I live , ” she added , her gaze briefly scanning his armor. It was clear he wasn’t from around here , but that didn’t concern her. She raised an arm , pointing to her left.

“ There’s a road that way leading straight to the city. Keep following it , and you’ll arrive without issue. ”

"I travel far from my home, my clan seeks new lands." He explained as he looked up at the sky "my people are nomadic, is there settlement close to here?" He asked genuinely as he was unfamiliar with the lands of Skyrim or of her people. He was hopeful that he could find someone willing to pay for merecenary work

“Sister. Welcome home. I was beginning to wonder when our dear Listener would grace us with her presence again.” A smile tugged at his lips, a playful glint in those void-like eyes that showed his sarcastic tone meant no disrespect, “Keeping busy?”

K’Dari tilted her head , her pale red eyes scanning the sanctuary. Though she missed the old one , this new space served them well — it was larger , allowing room for fresh recruits and growth.

“ More numbers , more vengeful hearts . . . it always carries a price , ” she sighs , turning her gaze back to the bosmer. “ After what happened at the old sanctuary , we must be cautious. I don’t want a repeat of that disaster. That jester . . . he’s left me wary of every new recruit. You can never truly know who might betray you. ”

Anrel offered a soft hum in response, followed by a quiet laugh almost too melodic to suit his appearance. He waved a hand in a dismissive motion. Not to brush off any of the goings-on, but more to set aside the stories he could tell for now.

“Well-fed, certainly,” He answered, gaze shifting to glance about the sanctuary in thought, “It's no wonder. As our family grows and word spreads of our activity, more and more seem to seek our services. Skyrim's current state is good for it, too. Lots of vengeful folk happy to see us.”

The bosmer’s unsettling appearance hardly fazed her — not like it had when she first joined the dark brotherhood. She’d long since grown accustomed to it , and after all her travels beyond these walls , she’d encountered far worse.

A warm smile touched her lips as she reached up to remove her helmet , welcoming a breath of fresh air. With a soft sigh , she dipped her head in greeting.

“ Ah . . . my thanks , brother. I hope all fares well , and that the Night Mother kept watch over you and the others , ” she said , a hint of guilt creeping in for having been away so long. “ Aye , I’ve tended to the contracts she has set before me , and seen to other matters as well. And what of you ? How have you fared ? ”
