I really enjoyed this chapter. The hoodie becoming a symbol of comfort and the way Malachi noticed every little thing made their relationship feel really warm. I especially liked the storm scene, where he didn't make her feel embarrassed about being scared. Instead, he stayed beside her and distracted her with a silly conversation about naming a pet dragon. It was such a sweet way of showing how comfortable they are together.
While reading, I got an OC art idea inspired by that feeling of comfort and safety.
I imagined a quiet, independent girl who usually hides her feelings and tries to handle everything herself. She notices small details about people but rarely admits when she needs someone. She would have soft shoulder-length hair, expressive eyes and a cozy autumn outfit with an oversized sweater, jeans, warm socks and sneakers.
For the main artwork, I pictured her sitting on a couch during a storm, wearing Malachi's oversized hoodie with the sleeves covering her hands. Rain would cover the window behind her while lightning briefly lights the room. She would be holding a warm mug, looking much calmer because Malachi is beside her with an arm around her shoulders.
He could be talking about something ridiculous, like what they would name a pet dragon, while she tries not to laugh. The oversized hoodie would be the main visual detail, showing how it has become connected to warmth and comfort.
I could also imagine a second scene the next morning, with her still wearing his hoodie beside the rain-covered window, looking peaceful after the storm has passed.
