Well, I consider myself a writer. I'm really a student at the moment, going to Grant MacEwan University, taking the last of their Applied Bachelor of Communications in Professional Writing before they destroy it to make room for their new Bachelor of Communications (a very boring and technically focused program). At least that's what I think is happening. I've only been listening to bits and pieces of the conversation and I missed all the meetings to explain what is actually happening.
Anyway, I'm going off topic. I consider myself a writer despite the fact that I've only written a few novels that ended up in a dusty place on my computer. I'm still trying to develop... everything. All I have are ideas. Lots and lots of ideas that reach all throughout time and space, and a few that reach beyond to mess with someone else's time and space.
I don't have a genre I specialize in, and I don't plan to have one. I want to keep my interests as broad as I can to capture as much knowledge the world has to offer. Although, I do have a soft spot for horror and paranormal and anything in any genre with dark tones, I try to vary things up.
At the moment of May 2011, I don't have anything ready to put up. I have one novel almost finished, but it's already promised to someone else. And the only other stories I have that are anywhere near decent enough (this term is used very loosely) to show to the public, sort of violate some of the posting rules (all of the rules with its excessive violence, drug use, sex, and many other things I don't think are proper to describe). So I'm just going to stalk around and read what other people have written.
PS. I'm still not sure if I'm actually going to put any writing up here. From my quick look through, this looks more like a slush pile of stories authors already know are not good enough for publishers. In my opinion, if you're trying to gather a following, then you have to start with top quality, and I'm not finding it anywhere.
