Merry Chrismun. Happy Crisis. Merry Chrysler.
I hope you're all having a good holidays. I can't say in all honesty that I am. Frankly, it would be a lot nicer if I had the money to buy presents, or the energy and will to drive to see the in laws. In fact, I think, if the traditions of Christmas were different in nearly every single way, I'd probably enjoy it quite a lot more.
Alas, there is no escaping the grim work of the festive season. Just remember, as the pressure mounts and the fated day draws closer, that soon it will all be over. Soon Christmas will come and go, and the grocery stores and malls will be free once more from the herculean grip of cheery music and shining tinsel. Soon the advent calendars will pile on the discount rack, and the elf will be moved from the shelf back into the dusty attic where it belongs.
Soon. Soon.
Until then, try to enjoy yourselves. I believe in you.
