Not necessarily, in the fic it is alluded that there are some supernatural components(?) lingering in his body, which will help him later interact with other supernatural creatures in forks. He almost has a spidey sense for certain things if that makes sense!

I was just thinking about how the Fantastic Beast movies are more diverse than the HP movies, like huh?!?! FB is literally one of the prime times for being blatantly racist without getting any(and I mean any) consequences. Like something ain't adding up!!!!!
