Every story has a beginning, and mine started on the pages of a simple notebook back when I was just a Grade 7 student. I was quiet, but my mind was always loud with ideas. Fast forward to Grade 10, I finally took a leap of faith and brought those ideas to life on Wattpad.
Looking back, it wasn’t perfect. I was writing in basic English and raw Tagalog, just figuring things out as I went. But against the odds, I finished my very first book, She’s Not Just a Pretty Girl. It was a milestone I never thought I’d reach.
Then, the pandemic hit. The world paused, and somewhere along the way, I lost my spark and my interest in writing. The keyboard felt distant. But the stories in my head never truly left. A year later, the itch to write returned. Right before graduating from Senior High School, I found my rhythm again and finished my second book, Forgetting Caleb.
But as life grew more demanding, I stopped again. Drafts were left abandoned, and some stories remained unfinished in my drafts.
Now, here I am again. After being away from the keyboard for so long, the passion has pulled me back. I am standing on the edge of another major milestone, my college graduation—and I have
made a promise to myself I want to finish this story, whether it happens right before or just after I walk across that stage.
This journey hasn't been a straight line. It’s been a cycle of writing, pausing, growing, and returning. But every time I come back, I come back with a deeper love for the craft.
I am pouring my heart into this current book, and more than anything, I want to share it with you. I want everyone to read it, to feel it, and to be part of this chapter with me. Thank you for being here, whether you’ve been reading since my Grade 7 notebook days or you’re just joining me now.
Let’s finish this story together
