for someone, aka me, who has so many ideas for fics but can't stick to one plot, would the best advice be to just write one-shots or short stories?

adding my opinion even tho no one asked...this harry potter reboot is unnecessary. it's the equivalent of disney making live actions of their own movies that already exist. instead of remaking something that already exists, why not make something new?? there is still so much to the wizarding world but instead they want to do a remake lol.
