Two more slot available for Tagalog, Taglish, or English books from Filipino Writers!

One of the things that makes our book club different is our pod system. Instead of having different reading partners every week, you'll have the same group of readers following your story over multiple cycles.

They get to know your characters, remember previous chapters, notice your foreshadowing, and become familiar with your writing style. So the feedback becomes more meaningful as your story progresses.

Have you ever wished you could ask your readers:

          ❓ Was this chapter boring?

❓ Did the ending make sense?

❓ Which character are you rooting for?

❓ Did the plot twist surprise you?

At The Reading Nook Book Club, you can!

Every Featured Author is given the opportunity to ask their own questions and receive feedback on the areas they care about most.

Our members don't just react. They share:-what they felt-what they noticed-what kept them reading, etc. If you're looking for genuine writer-to-writer feedback, we'd love to have you! We're currently looking for more Filipino or Foreign writers who write English stories to complete our pods.

We'd love to have you as part of our little reading community.

In an alternate world, the Philippines never existed as a unified nation but of kingdoms, each with its own ruler.

Everything changed when a member of the noble class with the help of his allies sought to overthrow the kingdoms to establish a unified nation under one government.

Diosdado Gatmaitan married his son to the daughter of Rajah Sulayman, a powerful and respected ruler among the kingdoms to create an alliance and gain the support and trust of the royal families.

Although his efforts to abolish the royals failed, it led to the formation of a country known as Bagumbayan, governed by Diosdado Gatmaitan and his political party, Sinagtala. Soon Diosdado passed on his leadership to his son, Dionisio.

Yumi, the daughter of the new prime minister, despises her privileged life. Everyone hates her. Her classmates at the La Real Academia de la Isla. Her family. The whole nation. Being the daughter of a tyrant wasn't her fault but somehow, she was being punished for it.

On her 17th birthday, she learns that her father intends to marry her off in a political alliance once she turns eighteen. Through a letter, she discovers that her mother's wish was for her to marry the child of an influential family friend, the son of a powerful Sultan. However, Yumi soon uncovers a dark secret. Her fiance has a hidden agenda- To destroy her family.
