I understand that people think it's rude and harsh and mean, but the only person I've met that has been retarded (Conner knows I'm writing this, he read over this whole thread before I sent it, he doesn't care if I call him retarded because he also calls me retarded like daily) by their mental disabilities is a boy with very overactive ADHD problems and anger issues. You can call me an abliest or whatever you want, but I honestly don't care. Retard is a very specific term that's pointed at only those who have disabilities that hinder their learning capabilities, ultimately stunting their progression in life or at those who have been crippled, leading to a stunt in their literal growth. It doesn't apply to a majority of people who have disorders and diseases that, yes, put a hindrance on their everyday life, but no, it doesn't retard them, in fact, I know there are people out there who embrace it and use their disabilities to their advantage. The word ain't got shit on me or most of the disabled community, I'm legitimately apart of the disabled community because I have a learning disability with a mental disorder tacked on. Stop trying to make retard a slur, whenever I hear "r word" I wanna say rape and you don't want that shit in your already toxic opinion. If you want to make retard a slur then I'll point you to the closest disabled person (aka me) so you can start the incessant bullying, discrimination, and name calling to make it prominent that the word retard should really be an offensive word in the disabled community. 

When someone is disabled it does not mean that their ability to grow and prosper has been stunted or slowed down. Not in the slightest. My aunt is disabled, she's fucking sitting in a hospital with her fourth UTI this year, but she doesn't let it stop her. It doesn't slow her down at all, if anything she's moving faster now on her 10 mph scooter. Her MS didn't stop her. She's disabled and she doesn't let it stop her or retard her. (Note: retard is actually a verb, forever now when I hear someone call another a retard I will laugh because I know it makes no fucking sense)
