More than a year now since I began writing on WP!

I started writing with an entry for Margaret Atwood's #freezedriedgroom contest (apparently I was a runner-up, but was disqualified; the contest was only for those in the US and Canada!).

Subsequently I have been trying to learn how to write by entering the contests for #scifriday. It was tremendous fun, one of my stories placed second: http://www.wattpad.com/myworks/32296590-phantom-limb

I have met some wonderful people here - gifted writers who have been happy to help me in my efforts to learn. Amongst them are (in no particular order...)

@Fairytale_Fabler - Who is publishing a fantasy series which got me hooked right away. She also has a collection of poems, some of which have had me in tears.

@MorrighansMuse - A prolific and gifted writer who got me into reading romance (yes, really!)

@amberkbryant - Writer of 'The Fold' series - it was Amber that encouraged me to try to learn to write. If it wasn't for her kind words I would never have even tried...


So I am plodding on; I have less time now, but I find I can write more quickly having had lots of advice from friends here on WP :)

It's a lot of fun! Lots of great DJs that volunteer Thursday nights just for their love of music. I'm now doing a regular slot 6.00pm GMT. So logon if you want to hear an eclectic mix of tunes!
