Random story time!
So my granddad used to play double bass professinally and once when he had to go on a gig (he was travelling by train) he had his double bass as a luggage because he couldn't put it in the train (that thing is bigger than a grown man). So he got there. And he was looking for his instrument. Turned out it was on an other train and it didn't arrive yet. He had to find an available kontra bass from somewhere (let me tell you not every second person plays bass). And he arrived to the concert on time, could play and somehow his own double bass got to him, too.
