( @strnggrrl ) got you here ? got you where lydia ?! the bloody netherworld ?! we’re going to  /  die   /  down here ! you’re going to die searching for something who doesn’t exist anymore ! (    her face flushes in anger as she pulls herself to her feet, shoulders tensing up to her ears    ) my mother  /  hates  /  me ! if she died i’d be happy ! (    her eyes widen at her own words, like finally admitting to herself snapped something in her brain    )

( @hauntedblondes )  if  you  knew  half  of  what  got  me  here,  you  would  be  thinking  the  exact  same  thing. [  she  scowls,  turning  her  head  to  the  side. ]  and  you  know  what  ?  at  least  your  mother  is  /  alive  /  !

( @strnggrrl ) two hours, promise, then we can come back here and watch shitty movie and eat junk food until we’re sick (    marnie squeezes lydia’s hand excitedly, eyes constantly flicking all over her girlfriend and her dress, she’d always dreaded prom, deep down, knowing her parents would make her go with some boy and she’d mope around the whole night, but now she got to go with the girl of her  /  dreams  /  and there was nothing anyone could do to stop her    ) you’re so pretty :)

( @hauntedblondes )  [  she  looks  down  at  her  own  dress:  black,  though  not  pitch. a  lot  lighter  than  the  way  she  wanted  it  to  be,  but  her  father  insisted  on  looking  ‘un-dead’  for  once. still,  the  lacy,  poofy  sleeves  gave  it  a  nice  touch. ]  you  promise  we’re  only  staying  for  two  hours?  [  she  asks  ,  still  marveling  at  marnie’s  appearance  as  she  takes  her  hand. ]

( @strnggrrl ) not a museum here, ‘ve like . . . never been outside winter river, so regardless of whether or not it’s good, it’ll probably be the last time I see anything remotely that interesting (    she shrugs, even if the words are partially true because if her mother would have it her way marnie would probably end up buried in the backyard when she gets her first wrinkle    ) plus this way i get to see you :D

( @hauntedblondes )  you  could  see  similar  things  at  museums. dehlia’s  work  isn’t  that  phenomenal  (…)  even  the  movers  could  tell  you  that  much. you  can’t  be  here.

( @hauntedblondes )  [  corrine  can’t  help  but  smile  at  the  way  marnie  speaks  of  lydia. ]  that’s  sweet,  well  i’ll  take  your  word  for  it. it  seems.  that  you  really  care  about  her.

( @loveceased ) ‘think a lot of people think that, but i think we work so well  / ‘cause  /  we’re so different (    the smile of her face is one that could only ever belong to the world’s most lovesick teenager, even if she doesn’t really realize it    ) she’s actually really sweet, once you get to know her, like a black kitten :]

( @loveceased ) maybe you can show me how ? (    her smile and tone are sheepish as she continues to toy with the ends of her hair    ) my mama’s the only other person who’s ever like . . . styled my hair

( @hauntedblondes )  i  used  to  do  it  all  the  time  when  i  was  your  age. i  would  wake  up  early  and  use  the  heated  curls  my  mother  had. they  work  wonders.

( @loveceased ) yeah ? (    she toys with the ends of her bangs before ruffling and fidgeting with the rest of her hair    ) ‘think i’ll try that :D

( @loveceased ) (    marnie flinches at the first when the handkerchief touches her cheek, but eventually her shoulders relax and she lets the ghost dab away the tears and runny makeup    ) no . . . (   she shook her head carefully, one hand coming up to rub at the now itchy and runny mascara    ) t - t - thank you . . .

( @hauntedblondes )  i  know,  sweetheart  (. . . )  but  we  first  need  to  get  you  to  calm  down. you’ve  got  it,  just  (. . . )  here  (. . . )  [  she  removes  a  handkerchief  from  the  front  pocket  of  her  shirt,  gently  patting  it  on  her  teary  cheek. ]  you  also  don’t  wanna  ruin  your  makeup,  do  ‘ya?  c’mon,  i’m  not  gonna  let  anything  happen  to  you.
