@hawkinrobin - Hey author!! I just finished reading your story DON’T BLAME ME, and I already LOVE it. First of all, you had me at John B book because I’m always excited to find another John B fanfic! And the cover?? HELLO?? It immediately caught my attention and definitely made me want to click and see what the story was about. And speaking of the story, can we talk about your description for a second?? ❛no kooks, ?❜ ❛well, she's a kook, she's actually one of us.❜ In which, Violet Thornton learns the life of her so-called “enemies” while falling in love. LIKE OKAYYYY. The way you set that up already tells me we’re about to get that whole Kook-to-Pogue experience, and I’m HERE for it. I really like how simple the description is while still giving us enough to make us curious about Violet and what exactly is going to happen once she gets pulled into the Pogue world. And the whole “learning the life of her so-called enemies while falling in love” part?? Okay, we already know WHO she’s falling for, but now I’m VERY curious to see how you’re going to develop Violet and John B’s relationship! Because the fact that she’s coming from the Kook side and is now being introduced to the Pogues already gives them such an interesting setup. I can’t wait to see how John B and Violet’s dynamic develops, whether they’re instantly drawn to each other, constantly teasing one another, or if you’re about to make us suffer through a slow burn. Whatever you have planned for these two, I’M READY. AND THEN I GOT TO THE CHAPTER DON’T BLAME ME AND MY GODDDD. The graphics are SO GOOD. Like, you really put thought into the presentation of this story, and I appreciate that so much. I also really love the way you set up the chapter itself. The spacing, the fonts, the overall layout… everything just makes it feel so aesthetically pleasing to read. AND THEN YOU INCORPORATED A LINE FROM The Notebook INTO THE CHAPTER???

@hawkinrobin - “BUT I WANT YOU. NOT FOR TODAY, OR NEXT WEEK, BUT FOREVER.” UMMMM??? THAT IS SO CUTE. And honestly, it fits the OBX vibes surprisingly well. I love when authors add little references or quotes that somehow make the atmosphere of the chapter even better, and this one definitely did that for me. I also really liked getting a little bit of Violet’s backstory already! The fact that she was a Kook who somehow became a Pogue has me VERY curious. Like girl, what happened?! How did we get here?? I NEED TO KNOW. And now I’m especially wondering what her dynamic with John B is going to be. Because we already know John B has a certain way of pulling people into his world, so I’m VERY curious to see what happens once Violet officially becomes part of the crew. Are they going to get along immediately? Will they constantly butt heads? Is there going to be teasing? Banter?? Or are you about to throw us into some slow-burn situation that has me screaming at my screen?? AND MAIA REFICCO AS VIOLET??? WHEW. You definitely picked a gorgeous face claim for her! I can already picture Violet in my head, and I think Maia fits the vibe you’ve created for her so well. I know it’s WAY too early to tell, but I do have to ask… Do you have plans to take this story through all of the seasons, or are you thinking about stopping at a certain point? I’m always curious when I find an OBX fanfic because there are SO many directions you could take the characters, especially when you’re adding an original character into the story. Either way, I’m really excited to see where you take Violet and how she becomes part of the Pogues’ world. I’m already invested and we’ve barely gotten started. I don’t even know if you’ll ever see this comment, let alone read the whole thing because I know I’m over here writing a whole essay. But I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that you’ve definitely gained a supportive reader.
