@hawkinsfire “Valentine? Like the day?” The question would sound silly to the average human being, but she’d never heard anybody having that name before — she only knew of Valentine’s Day. “Val... Okay. I like it,” she added soon after, a small smile lifting up onto her lips. “Pretty name.” The explanation of Valentine’s relation to Mike was a little confusing to her, causing her eyebrows to furrow together a little bit. She had a very vague idea of what the redhead meant, but she was quite unsure. “Like a sister, but... not a sister? Like best friends?” (sorry it’s so short rn bb :(( )

" well , i'm valentine , but you can call me val if you want . it sounds a little better , " she admitted with a sheepish smile . " i'm , uh , like mike's childhood friend . sort of like his sister -- except we're not actually related , " she explained quickly , eyebrows furrowing as she tried to remember all that mike had told her about his girlfriend -- if she still was that ? from what she'd just told val , things sounded a little , er , rocky between the two at the moment . she hoped things were okay , though . el had probably been the best thing for mike , and it would've sucked to see the two no longer together .
