Hi! I just wanted to pop in here and say that- firstly, my first goal on Wattpad was to just put stories out there that I've always loved day-dreaming about and making them a reality in this great creative space we have called Wattpad. I never really cared about the numbers or stats...however, I do want to share my gratitude for the news I just woke up to.
That being said, I wanted to say a (in Harry's words) "a massive thank you" for 100K reads on Mesmerized.
It definitely does not matter whether you finished the book or not, just skimming a few pages means the absolute world to me in so many ways no one fully understands.
When I wrote Mesmerized, I firstly just joined the fandom like, a month in. I had so much to learn, and many of you might see some irrelevant things many of the characters said in the first chapters I'm sure....Secondly, when I was getting the hang of writing it, it was more so making sure that I published something everyday, whether it be fillers or not. I just wanted it to constantly one of my top priorities, which is great of course, but without a plan that goal can be extremely difficult to achieve.
I think when I had the first person start reading as I was going along, and they commented some really sweet comments, I'm pretty sure I cried. This was the first time I was getting someone to read my writings who weren't my family. Getting told by a complete stranger how great and captivating your work is, it puts pressure but it overall just makes you feel good. Which is certainly does.
And now, it's been a year since I've published my first ever draft on a book I didn't even know how to work on...it now has reached 100K reads. I can't even comprehend that. That is so so very amazing and I am forever grateful for the ability to use my writing and share them with you all.
With that being said, thank you all so much again for 100K reads on Wattpad. This blows my mind. THANK YOU.
