I think captain jack by jaerie on Ao3 may be by favourite fanfic ever and I'm not even half way through yet.
So I'm currently reading a post war fanfic and I've only just started it but its made me realize how stupid wars are. why is it that innocent people have to go out and risk their lives because of the shitty decisions their governments made? Why do families have to suffer for years because they have no idea if they will ever see their loved ones again? Why are parents taken away from their young children so soon?
I hope my parents fucking die.
