Why does every story on here start with the main character waking up? It's always: "I woke up to the screeching sound of my alarm." Or "The bright sun shone on my face: waking me up."
Like, why not: "the sounds of cars honking made me jump. I was too distracted to realize, I was on the road. Who wouldn't get distracted when a beautiful person walks past you." Or something like that.
