            sometimes i feel like i'm doing this all

            muffled slightly by his shoulder  . *
            like –  would my dad even be proud of
            me ?  look at me .  i'm borderline insane . i'm a MESS .

*   he   stumbled   backwards   as   she   clinged   to   him   ,   somehow   managing   to   make   him   lose   balance.    the   energy   she   had   bottled   up   –   he   could   never   understand.   once   leaning   back   against   the   nearest   table,   he   gently   rubbed   her   back   as   he   glimpsed   down   at   her   *    truth    to   be   told?   me   neither,   kid   –   or   at   least   i   didn’t   know   how   back   then.   still   working   on   it.   something   i’ve   learned,    though,   is   that   you   can’t   try   things   the   same   way   and   expect   a   different   outcome,   ya   get   me?   talk   to   me   ‘bout   it   —

            i just  -  tony  -  * her sputtered , choking on sobs && gasping for air as she clung to him like her life depended on it .  she buried her face in the material of his t - shirt  -  she liked this shirt . but that's besides the point -  as wails left her lips . * i don't  -  know how to stop .  i - i can't take a break .
