            “i keep forgetting that you were once queen. you must have carried so much weight from the material…” she shook her head. the other senator was used to gowns for the most part…but she didn’t live all of her life with gowns and robes. sometimes she’d have very little but a simple robe that was thin from where she had once been a servant. but that was in the past and it was behind her. she was now serving a much greater purpose.

                ( padmé  couldn't help but laugh at the senator's comment.  as queen she had worn a multitude of layers.  luckily rabé had innovated the garments to be more practical and comfortable.  she missed her handmaidens dearly.  the woman gently shook her head to rid of the thoughts.  this was not time to miss them.  her smile resumed quickly after.  )     it takes practice ,   although i must admit i never got used to it.  it was always a relief to take off the queen's gowns.

            the other woman gave the other a bright smile as she walked from the front entrance of the senator’s apartment toward the open living space. it always seemed padme’s apartment was open and lively as light seemed to permeate every space of the home. she soon came over and sat on one of the cushions near the senator, placing her hands on her lap as she looked over toward the other woman. she was happy to see the other woman after so long, wondering how the senator had been. “how have you been, padmé? it has been so long since we have last seen each other.”

                 kora!    ( padmé 's  face lit up at the sight of the other.  both women were quite busy with their duties.  it wasn't often padmé was able to let her senatorial guard down.   the lines blurred between padmé naberrie and senator amidala.  the queen persona had been much easier to differentiate.  )     you aren't intruding at all!  please ,  sit!

            the jedi master grinned as she smiled toward the other. “i don’t blame you, m’lady. while we have our duties to both the republic and our colleagues, there are still times where we need to step away and what little time we have to relax and process things….it is a beautiful day after all,” her blue eyes glanced toward the coruscant skyline. despite the city bustling with ships and speeders…coruscant had a beauty of its own.

                 master cardell!  pleasure as always!   ( her face lit up at the sight of the other.  it was sometimes hard for her to escape her senatorial duties.  she had to remind herself once and a while she was still padmé naberrie from naboo.  the woman let out a quiet laugh ,  shaking her head slightly.  )    i needed some fresh air.
