I’m back, hoping to continue writing here at a bit slower pace than I used to. (Daily is just too much and frankly I burned out a bit. The need for balance in life is real! New chapter of Built on Sandstone is up today.

New Story! I’ll be releasing chapters of a new story, Built on Sandstone, over on my Facebook group. Search for “H. Maxwell Writes” and make sure you answer the one question or I won’t let you in (it’s easy!!). Here is the intro to the story (which will eventually come here). I do caution you to not assume you know what the twists will be! I promise that KARMA will play a lead role by the end. (Also, I’ll soon be updating Caught in the Tides as well!)

Grant Walker has lived a life of quiet duty — devoted husband, patient father, and heir to his family's successful construction company in small-town Tennessee. But when his childhood best friend Josie Harper returns to town with her teenage son, everything Grant thought he knew begins to shift.

What unfolds is a story of buried secrets, emotional betrayal, legal reckoning, and ultimately, personal redemption. As Grant’s seemingly perfect life begins to crumble, he must decide what kind of man he wants to be — and what love really means.
