ok, so... there's quite a polemic surrounding Rhea rn. as much as i like her and respect her as an athlete, there is some questionable stuff she has done and needs to be addressed.
i do believe that most people do stupid shit when they're teenagers (kids, i would say) and that a lot of people can grow, learn from their mistakes and educate themselves.
i'm not a POC, so i don't think there's much for me to say about this, but the least thing i can expect from a woman i have in such high esteem is to speak up, clarify things and apologize. like i said before, i believe people change and grow. but for today, Rhea has been ignoring this issue even when she has a base of POC fans offended and hurt, and in this situation silence is harmful.
i don't think this is about picking sides, being with Rhea or not. she did something wrong and that's it. there's little i can do but give her a chance and wait for her to explain herself and hopefully, make amends.
if she wants to be a better person or not, that's up to her, but pretending nothing happened just isn't going to help anyone.

i don't think Demi's racist, bc from all everything i have seen of her through the internet she looks like the sweetest and most lovely girl ever, she had a black partner, etc. but you just can't rely on what someone decides to show on internet. it's also known she's super friends with Raquel Gonzalez, who is allegedly a Trump supporter and liked some racist stuff a few years ago about the BLM stuff.
@ RheaismyMommy_ well, i think that the issue here is the fact that Demi has no right to say these kind of slurs, (certain groups can claim those slurs, but we're talking here about gay people with the F word or lesbians with dyke), and it's okay if she likes black humor (i do too, did when i was younger and still do) but once again, it's all bout what you CAN laugh at. me, as an american latin person, can and probably will laugh at black humor jokes about latin people.
the thing here is when she, a white woman from a highly developed country, does stuff like laughing at racists jokes from Trump supporters and about the wall.
