Imma go on a RANT so if you're not interested in reading this feel free to skip to the end for an announcement.
Alright, my country holds globally-certified final exams for grade 10th and 12th.
I've been studying for grade 12th for more than a YEAR. Every student in my grade nation-wide has been studying the same fucking shit for more than a fucking year.
I'm gonna let that sink in.
Right now they were gonna hold these exams from 4th May which is alright, i mean i didn't prep anything but i was gonna attempt it nonetheless. Now there was this really big debate today (which had to unfortunately involve the PM since our education system is shit) regarding whether to postpone or to cancel or to hold the said exams online since my country is experiencing a second surge-wave which is more destructive than the first one. I saw the news for like 3 hours, but that's not the point. In the end they cancelled these certified exams for grade 10th but postponed for grade 12th.
I mean good for them, but what about us? We're gonna be starting our universities or colleges this year and really looking forward to them too since our whole senior-year diminished into fucking screen-time.
Now the government wants grade 12th to sit at home, study and slave away for 1 and a half month for the same shit we've been studying for more than a year and then they'd meet again to discuss whether or not they should hold exams.
It's not even fucking conclusive they just want us to study for something we won't even maybe attempt in the first place, while we can study for something regarding our future choices.
But NOOO, they just wanna fuck with our brains, squash our dreams and kill our last strand of sanity.
