' so, be honest. ' robin began with a grin, eyeing the guitar hung up on eddie's wall. ' you actually know how to play that thing, or is it just for decoration? ' she teased.
hellfirerock ;; ' hey ! i'm totally with you on that one! you wouldn't catch me running unless it was like - from a demogorgon - i look like a baby deer when i run. ' robin rambled with a wave of her hand, then a firm nod. ' sports are stupid. buuuuut i don't think the rest of the hawkins population agrees. ' she raised her brows with a small grin - of course knowing all too well about the arbitrary bias of the hawkins residents. robin gave a long, thoughtful hum, expression scrunching up and playing at disgusted - but she eventually let it fall. ' you weren't too bad. ' a small grin fought to break out on her face as she shrugged with one shoulder. she sucked her teeth as she pretend to think about it. ' i dunno, sounds like a big ask. is there something in it for me? ' robin asked teasingly, and finally let her smile break out, warm. ' sure. you were pretty good. i still don't like your music taste, but i can at /least/ acknowledge talent, from one musician to the other. i suppose i could come support you and your little nerdy band friends. just you tell me when and where. ' robin grinned, finally caving. even if it weren't totally to her tastes, she'd still gladly support a friend. hell, maybe it would grow on her? she doubted it though. ' yeah, what i thought, and my bank could do without that. ' robin gave another laugh, that quickly clipped off as she raised her brows as if daring him. ' it's a trumpet, thank you very much. i'll make you play /that/ next time. ' the change in topic wasn't entirely unexpected - for some reason, the handful of close friends she was out to had a vested interest in her love life. robin seemed to be silently considering for a moment. ' vickie. ' she finally huffed, brow creasing in displeasure, arms crossing as if like a pouting child. ' i think she's straight, eddie. '
@awkscoops "Hey don't knock it till you try it, dnd is way more complicated and interesting that those boring ass sports that force you at you're limits till you're crawling- nooo thank you! My talents may have people call me a freak, but at least I have them!" The metal head grinned as he retracted the instrument back towards his chest and hopped right back onto his mattress whilst playing a few strings lightly with a smirk towards the other. "Admit it, you liked my playing, pretty cool right? You should try coming to see my band and I play sometime, I know I know- taste in music isn't coordinated buuuut it could still get a rhythm in your step ya know!" Eddie mused with pride for not only his own talents but his own band as well, finally setting his guitar aside he looked back at Robin whilst some laughter escaped his throat,"You break it you buy it, good choice! What do you play again? That funny little thing that toots right?" He poked fun at his friend, leaning forward as he pretended to play an invisible version of the trumpet, knowing full well what it was but deciding it was more fun this way,"Hey, what about that girl too? What's her name? Vic? Somethin along the lines, right? Come on girl, don't leave me out the gossip!" The man kicked his feet up as he leaned on his bed imitating how a girl would be on the phone, kicking his feet a bit with a chuckle before letting himself drop down to sit on the ground upon Robin's level,"Come on tell me what's up?"
@hellfirerock ;; ' hey now - i'm a /band/ kid - musical theatre is a /whole/ different level of socially awkward - you don't get to talk, you run the dnd club. ' robin feigned offense as she teased back lightly. ' well, your band are gonna just have to suck it up. ' she grinned, and was silently rather pleased he'd taken the bait. of course, their music tastes were vastly different, but robin was intensely curious to hear eddie actually play the instrument. she watched the impromptu performance with amused attention from her spot on the floor. while it wasn't exactly to her tastes, it wasn't /bad/ either (not that she'd admit such a thing to eddie's face and admit defeat) - and he was surprisingly more skilled than robin had been expecting. eddie's passion was infectious, and robin found her tapping her foot along against the floor. ' oh! ' her brows shot up, hold both hands in front of her as if to fight off the approaching guitar. ' okay, okay, point taken, i don't think you should let me loose with that thing - i /will/ break a string or two without even meaning to - ' robin laughed sheepishly, and as much as this was a metaphorical defeat, she'd rather concede than break something of eddie's.
