"Stop..." her voice trembled, breaking under the weight of everything she was feeling.
"We can't do this... this is wrong... you're my-"
"I don't care what I am to you,"
he cut her off, his voice low, controlled, but dangerous in a way that made her chest tighten.
"Say it again and I'll still do the same thing."
Her eyes filled with tears instantly, shaking her head as she stepped back.
"This is a sin... what you're doing... it's a sin..."
A dark smile touched his lips-not soft, not kind.
"Then be sinful," he whispered.
She stared at him in disbelief, hurt flashing across her face.
"How can you say that so easily... how can you not feel anything..."
"Because I don't pretend like you do,"
he replied, his gaze locking onto hers with something sharp, something consuming.
"You feel it too. You just don't have the courage to accept it."
"I don't," she said immediately, her voice cracking. "I hate this... I hate you..."
"Liar."
The word came out calm. Certain.
"You hate what this makes you feel," he continued, stepping closer, slow, deliberate.
"But don't confuse that with hating me."
Her breath hitched as he closed the distance.
"You should be ashamed..." she whispered, tears slipping down.
"You're destroying everything..."
"No," he murmured, his voice dropping even lower.
"I'm taking what was never meant to be his either."
Her lips parted, but no words came out this time.
"Go ahead," he added softly, almost mockingly.
"Call it wrong. Call it a mistake. Call it whatever helps you sleep."
A pause.
Then-
"But don't pretend you don't feel it."
Her silence said everything.
And that's what made him smile.
"Some sins don't feel wrong... until it's too late."
