@herevidence blah blah blah, you’re quite annoying, * he groaned with his head leaning back into his shoulders * for the promise of immunity and not holding me for anything, i may be able to bring to you anything you’re inquiring for! think of me as hm, a partner in ur investigations! you have such an interesting job, well other than not being able to actually solve the crimes you pursue, but i’ll solve that problem of yours! i can assure you that with my familial ties, i can bring you information of any crimes you’d like to know about, including anything in regards to whatever my brother allegedly does or doesn’t do. you’ve been on his tail along with every other lawyer and detective and military force, but there’s been nothing! maybe it’s because he’s innocent, or…maybe it’s just because you don’t have someone like me working with you. i believe in your mission, detective; i believe in you…now, can you take a step and believe in me? * he put on his best charismatic smile, amber eyes reflecting the expression of an innocent puppy * you’ve really got nothing to lose. all in all, just let me help you solve crimes without holding me accountable or connecting me to any of them!

            * upon seeing his hand reach for the report, she immediately hid behind her back and finally lifted her gaze to meet his, her heterochromic eyes staring intently into his eyes as a way to search for any malevolent glint in them. sure, she had actually been slightly intrigued by his words, but there was no guarantee that he wouldn’t do something to lead her in the wrong direction . . . she had to cautious about dealing with a man like kage, * i still find your motive incredibly odd, considering our history. also, i can’t shake on a deal without knowing what exactly i’ll be getting in return or what i’ll have to do for you, mr. kage. either you set down the details now or it’s a no from me. i have more to investigate and if there’s enough evidence, surely lady justice will be in my favor and finally bring your brother behind bars. speak honestly so that this conversation can be over and done with. my lunch break is nearing its end.

@herevidence why would i help you take down for whatever my brothers done allegedly without anything in return? maybe if you were smarter and came to me first, things would’ve gone your way a bit more. but anyways, exactly! * he grinned wide, his hands reaching to grab the case report and fling it away * you’ve dealt with his ‘ wild goose chases ’ as you say, and you’ve come back from them! if me helping you does turn out to be some plan, you can just jump back from it, unless you think your skills aren’t enough to handle it. you’re really facing no loss here, * he tilted his head, his chin resting on his fingers as he paced around in front of her * you either get actual legitimate help in this vendetta against my brother in dealing with alleged equalist ties or you come back from whatever betrayal you think might happen. it would honestly be quite stupid to reject an offer so perfect for you? detective, are you really willing to risk the one way you can actually take him down? me! * he stopped before her, his mouth wide in an almost psychotic grin, and reached his hand out to shake * do we have a deal? i just want to help you, detective! i hate equalists as much as you do, and if you think my brother is one, i can help you. just shake my hand, promise me no harm, and you’ve got nothing to lose.
