My name is Herokirito22, a pen name I've carried with me since 2014, heavily inspired by the hero of Sword Art Online. My initial fascination with anime, and the agonizing wait between seasons, is what first led me down the rabbit hole of light novels, and eventually, to the vast, imaginative landscape of webnovels.

For as long as I can remember, I've been a fervent reader of published novels, devouring stories and dreaming up my own. Though writing remained a quiet ambition in the back of my mind for years, that spark never truly faded. What truly captivated me about Sword Art Online, and why it holds such a special place for me, was its groundbreaking concept of a 'world within a world' - seamlessly blending gaming reality and virtual reality. As an avid gamer myself, it completely blew my mind how well it executed this idea, setting a precedent that cultivated so many incredible books in its wake. 

Despite how much I enjoy the system trope, the story itself remains the most defining point for me. Having consumed so many compelling books and seen countless good movies over the past decade, my standards have naturally increased. I no longer find the usual clichés interesting.

With a growing collection of books that have, regrettably, disappointed me, I decided it was time to try my hand at this craft with dedication. My goal is to leverage everything I've learned over the past decade to write something good.

My first endeavor is a low fantasy tale that intricately weaves together profound political intrigue, smart business strategy, and character-driven coming-of-age journeys. Drawing on my background in BSc Economics, I love exploring the financial and strategic underpinnings of my world as much as its subtle supernatural elements. As a devoted movie lover, I have always gravitated towards slow-burn narratives and intricately complicated plots, and I promise to bring that same dedication to my own storytelling, challenging and delighting you at every turn.
