She frowned as she spoke "Well, everyone is alright and trust me these things aren't as boring as they seem." she paused for a minute, continuing to walk towards where the event was being held "You see, all of the people coming here tonight usually all hold rather powerful positions. I guess talking to them can help me to understand what's going on this the world better." She had spoken this in a slightly unsure tone "They can be fun for the first half hour or so, but I'll admit, It can get slightly boring." She said with a small smile on her face.

surprising himself even, he nodded along and actually forgot about the expected torture of boredom to come. but with no choice, he'd rather be with someone he knew than rich strangers. ❝not like i have a choice in the matter so-❞ he increased his pace next to her and looked a little happier at the company ❝what do you even do here? die of boredom every hour?❞ he joked, seriously clueless about what to do or say. 

@datflyboi :: Diana smiled lightly at the compliment, those were usually hard to get from Hal so she valued it greatly. Diana noticed him go slightly red and gave a slight laugh listening to the rest what of what he had to say. "Well I will say that I'm surprised, but it's a good kind surprise nonetheless." She said with a slight smile coming to her face. She continued walking slowly gesturing for Hal to follow "We best hurry up or we could be late? Although I'm guessing you probably don't even want to go." she said, "And answering your question from earlier, no I don't often go to these, only when or if necessary." She said with a now barely there smile.
