            “your body will eventually sleep. you can only stay awake for so long, darling. eventually you’ll sleep while you’re awake.” 

“it shouldn’t frighten you. death is a warm welcoming embrace in the end.” he spoke in a monotoned way. his hands still clasped behind his back. “for now, there’s no need to be afraid of me. think of it as me gathering my own intel while you gather yours.” he continued and then paused suddenly to stare at her.
            
            “oh, you can count on me appearing the next time you fall asleep.”

when she stopped so did he glancing over at her. “i’m a sleep demon. I feed on fear and your nightmares.” he spoke rather nonchalantly and then paused. “am i here to hurt you? i haven’t decided, yet. i never harm on my first visit.”
