Hi all - Georgie's Dad here.

First, please let me express my heartfelt thanks to those of you who read Georgie's stories, collaborated with her, and provided honest, positive feedback. Her mother and I have been aware of her love of writing and her creativity for some time, and, despite the circumstances, I'm happy that she was able to share her gift and heart with others. Please know that we are exporting all of her stories and will be pursuing what we feel are more safe and age-appropriate opportunities for her to continue to grow as a writer. In fact, a close friend of the family is a published author (www.reneeduganwriting.com) and Georgie has already been sharing her work and has been receiving great feedback and encouragement.

To anyone here who has been the recipient of Georgie's heartfelt encouragement and support: it is certainly not our intention to cause anyone here hurt, anxiety, or stress. Georgie is one of the most genuinely loving and caring people I know; however, she can also be very naive. Her mother and I do not allow her to have accounts on social media, for a myriad of reasons which I will not detail here. While I know that Wattpad is not an inherently "good" or "evil" platform, all online platforms have the potential to be dangerous and expose users to people and/or content that can be harmful. As parents, Georgie's mother and I have the responsibility to make decisions based on what we feel is best for our daughter, even if we risk angering her or her peers for a time.

While we have not made a final decision on whether or not to keep this account, suffice it to say that Georgie will not be posting here for the foreseeable future. Know that she misses you all and sends her greetings. Thanks for hearing me out, and be safe out there!

I gave it to you as a 'heads up' and definitely not as ammo. I'm a mom so I get your concern but let's be honest, there are FAR worse things a child could be doing online than writing stories she enjoys.

I really hope you can keep her trust. Perhaps she's betrayed yours but nothing frightens me more than thinking (knowing) my children don't trust me enough to tell me important things that I need to be aware of.

I see that the book is still up. Please unpublish it, but please think about what might happen going forward. Not to be preachy but if a child feels that the things he/she loves will be destroyed by their parents, they'll hide EVERYTHING and that's not something we can afford to have in this day and age. If there's room for compromise, please consider that avenue as well.

This is a tough spot and no one can blame you for any decision you decide to make. But again, there are far worse things a child could be doing online.

          	  Good luck!

Hi, I know that you guys aren’t comfortable with Georgie gmailing and all, but I was hoping you would still have her help Nellie and I on our story? We don’t have to Gmail, just her adding onto the story whenever she finds time! Honestly Nellie and I don’t know what we would do without Georgies help, sure I created the characters and part of the plot, and Nellie make sure we have good grammar, but Georgie has brought these characters to life, I didn’t think the story would have gotten as far has it has, but thanks to Georgie I feel so confident about it! Your daughter is talented, I can see this being a future career for her. I, not even sure if yiu will see this but if you do, please let me know your answer as soon as possible! - Kat
