I have returned from the horrible land of finals, so I should get back to posting more stuff.
I'm quoting an old principal that my older brother had, but if no one else tells you this I (x^{2}+y^{2}-1)^{3}-x^{2}y^{3} = 0 you. Technically the equation was not there originally, but just plug it into a graphing calculator. Desmos works well.

So my school district has a snow day tomorrow. Since covid happened we almost always have online work, but it shouldn't be too much. The goal is to sit down and get a few more parts of hidden in plain sight out and hopefully get onto a more regular schedule with posting new parts.
I had just been going through a lot of mental stuff with going to a new school where I knew practically no one and most of the school had all gone to the same middle school. It's a magnet school. I did this to myself. One of my best friends in middle school who I've been working on a pretty big project with has also been grounded since September. Some of you know who I'm talking about and had been there with me through it all (you know who you are). To them thank you. I don't know if I would've made it to where I am now without them.
Lacrosse season is in full swing which does mean less free time, but being around my team has been helping me mentally a lot. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to keep writing Hidden in Plain sight and that my friend will be back soon so we can keep writing together.

What is the point of having so much antibiotic ointment in one tube? I'm in scouts so having that and band-aids is pretty much the bare minimum for a first aid kit, but you can take a normal size of those tubes and use it for first aid kits and home use and probably never run out.
The only time I ever get rid of them is when they expire, but because I never run out I don't always notice the expiration date and I'm left with just band-aids when I actually end up needing it on a campout or hike.
Also I see so many younger scouts use either none and just stick a band-aid on a dirty cut or so much without ever washing out the cut.
All I'm saying is that it feels like a waste and also I'm scared for the next generation of scouts in my troop. (They will pour water into a dirty dish and drink the water as long as I do it first though. Maybe there is hope)

Also if someone has a better suggestion for contacting someone who's online activity is currently incredibly limited and being watched than a 42 shift caesar cipher into Italian with incredibly vague instructions for the cipher that only this person and the rest of my friends would get then I will take it.

So that was a lie because I hate myself apparently. I was supposed to be working on an annotated bibliography and then I thought 'what would me more fun than writing about scientific sources that I have to finish tonight? Writing a prequel to a story I haven't finished yet.'

And for the record I've done worse. At least it isn't a sequel to a story I haven't finished yet. Or writing the epilogue instead of the chapter I was supposed to working on.
