Actually I'll tell you: Hiraeth (pronounced [hiraɪ̯θ]) is a Welsh word which means 'nostalgia', or, more commonly, 'homesickness'. Many Welsh people claim 'hiraeth' is a word which cannot be translated, meaning more than solely "missing something" or "missing home." (All credit goes to Wikipedia for this definition)
You also might have wondered why I chose "understandinghireath" as my username. (I THINK IT SOUNDS COOL) I might be using the word incorrectly though
