Hero," I shooed away my fears and boldly clapped him on the shoulder. It's amazing what our minds can accomplish on a full stomach. It's like feeling drunk while sober. The chance of me making any actual sense was a clear half and half here."I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record but, please come to school. I lied—"

"Shocker." He poked fun at me but I drilled on like a sergeant.

"It's not just the bugs that miss you," My brows pulled together. "I miss you. A lot."

He offered a little hum at that and rested his head on my shoulder without so much as a warning. I'm surprised my heart hasn't slung its belongings over my ribcage and abandoned my chest at this point. She's going through some serious cardio because of Hero and so am I.

"You should have started with that."

His tiny chuckles left me disoriented. He's so close. A kissing distance away. So close, I could label it a mistake if I turned and did just that right now. Hero would buy it. I should—

"Though with the way you've been avoiding me, I didn't think I meant that much to you."

The opportunity, setting, build-up...it was all too perfect. This could possibly be my best chance to let him know how I feel about him and not just through words, but the reminder that came in the form of Donovan's voice kept playing over and over in my head like a catchy nursery rhyme. I wanted to prove him wrong. Let him know that I wasn't as self-absorbed as he thinks. That I could put someone else above me. Hero's the perfect start. I love him more than life itself. It should be easy enough to discard my own feelings for his.

So I held my tongue. Figuratively.

Thank God, I did because just then the front door creaked open and in stepped mom. I'd rather not have my first kiss be interrupted in such a way. I'd rather not have it interrupted at all. She startled at the sight of Hero then quickly composed herself, masking her relief with anger.

          "Dear sinner,

By day, he is royalty—untouchable, obeyed, worshipped.
By night, he is something else entirely…
          Cursed. Savage. Starved.

They say only true love can break the spell.
But no one warned what that love would cost.
Because when the moon drapes Suryagarh in silver,
          he doesn’t just lose control—
          he claims, devours, corrupts.

‘His Howl, My Sin’ is a dark romance soaked in lust, danger, and forbidden cravings.
          Timeless beauty. Beastly hunger.
Silken lies, whispered moans, and a slowburn that hurts before it heals.

18+ only. If you dare to be ruined…

Hridhaya always knew Karthick was terrible for her blood pressure—grumpy, rude, and always stuck in anger mode. But when their families dropped the marriage bomb and decided they should tie the knot, she knew her life had officially turned into a nightmare.

          HRIDHAYA:

Getting married to Karthick is worse than...

❌ Being buried under a pile of cockroaches.

❌ Watching a 3-hour TV serial in slow motion

❌ Being stuck in a lift with a nosy aunt asking too many questions.

But nope. Instead of living my peaceful, Karthick-free life, I’m now stuck in a wedding I never agreed to—with him. Mr. Always Angry. Cactus Karthick. The man who argues with me like it’s a sport.

          The walking landmine.

The man whose favorite pastime is driving me insane.

This isn’t a marriage. This feels like hostage situation.

          KARTHICK:

If someone had told me I’d end up married to Hridhaya, I’d have either laughed in their face, yelled at them, or thrown myself into a crocodile pool. Anything would be better than this. I can’t stand her.

          Because marrying Hridhaya?

❌ It’s like shaving with a blunt blade and ending up with cuts.

❌ Worse than being trapped in a never-ending family WhatsApp group.

❌ Worse than being stuck in traffic just before reaching home—when you're about to pee your pants.

She’s bossy, loud, and always has a comeback.

          And now? She’s my wife.

This isn’t a marriage. This is a lifetime punishment.

          The Real Problem?

Between all the silly fights, sneaky payback, unexpected chemistry, and a wedding neither of them wanted—this isn’t just about avoiding each other anymore. It’s about surviving the marriage.

Because the more they argue, the closer they get…

And the closer they get, the more dangerous this game becomes.

          Get ready.

          This isn’t just a wedding.

          It’s a full-on war.
