The best way to make fast friends is by casually start convos with people around you. “Oh hey I love your shirt where’d you get it?” Their answer “ omg I love that store but they never seem to have blah blah.” Or something like that and get a convo going after a few convos you could ask if they’d want to grab lunch with you. Or join sports and make friends that way
